Manuscript of an English translation by John Madison, very likely an English Catholic recusant, from the original Latin treatise "De meditatione mortis et variis, eas qui mortem lentam, subitam, vel violentam, obeunt, sonsolandi modis libri VII," published in Cologne, 1573, and Antwerp, 1584; together with Madison's unfoliated introduction ("The translator to al maner of readers").
